Looking to increase my NiMH batts so I can throw them in other things than my 1-AA light (I have two 2300mAh BTY batts right now).

Currently looking at: SoShine(sku 487), BTY (sku 7138), Pisen (sku 7436) and some no-name AA batt (sku 73).

I would stick with Eneloop. Best deal for those (if you're in the US) seems to be from thomas-distributing.

Kodak Pre-Charged @$7.88 4pk from WalMart

these are probably the current LSD (Low Self Discharge) bargains
(they seem to be about equal to eneloops -which are the most well known/popular - also consider Eneloops now at Costco!)

WalMart also have regular Kodak 2500mAh NiMH batteries at $7.44/4.

None of the rechargeable cells sold on DX are worth their asking price. They're ALL junk. The Eneloops they sell just might be "Enel00ps" so buyer beware.

I paid $8.95 for a four pack of real Eneloops at Fry's. All the stores are carrying them now. I've played with a dozen or more brands of NiMH cells, Eneloops by far kick their collective butts. (Probably because I can charge and stow them for several weeks and they still have high output. My Titanium 2700 mAh cells would be very low after a few days in storage.)
