twentysixtwo ... I am not sure about the Li-Ion with the Cree parts, I am sorry. The NG will go into a "pseudo-direct drive" when battery voltage exceeds Vin of the LED by a certain ammount ... and I have no knowledge of the Cree part there and its tolerance to possible overdrive.
If you want to run this on Li-Ion I'd suggest gettng one with a Wiz2 driver from the Shoppe, just to be sure. Or find someone who knows
Unfortunately the only trim cap I have is offered aas item #1 in this sale ... so, if you still want the light and really dig the trim we can talk, but I guess it'd be wise to check into the Li-Ion thing first.

Well, at least SOMEBODY (AlanH!!) saved some of my tax refund!! Now I'll even be able to pay down some of my bills!! Sweet!!

Will PM you if and when I get fed up with it, if you like.. Mind you, out of the couple of hundred lights plus, that have arrived, only two went back out again. (Mind you the wife was using them to light her way through empty light boxes, carrying the heavy bags she was leaving with (Joke)
