BOG Q5 Question

I ordered a Bugout Gear Q5 drop in and I can't decide whether to get a SF C2 or a C3 to put it in. Will the C3 result in increased runtime? What runtimes can I expect either way? Could the C3 be too much volts for the drop in?
I want a HA finish, that's why I'm not considering a 6P or 9P. I will be using disposable lithium batteries, no rechargables.

I'm running a BOG Q5 in a stretched 6PD with 3 primaries, and it does just fine. It'll take 9V, which is what it gets from 3 primary lithiums. Can't tell you about runtime, because I don't measure it, but you'll definately get longer ones with 3 cells v. 2.

Now I'm thinking about putting a C size head on my E2E. I saw a picture of this somewhere that someone did. Anyone know where that pic is? Lighthound has the adapters and stainless heads. Does anyone know if those heads will work OK with the drop in?

The drop-in will work in a C-style head, but check to see if Lighthound is OS on those Leef E-C jobbies. Try to put one in your shopping cart, and you'll see what I mean.

I don't know if the BOG Q5 will fit with it, but the Cree Wolf Eyes Q2 drop-in worked fine. I'm waiting for the BOG Q5 too.

Thanks! That's a genuine Surefire C2 head. I put a WTB notice in the marketplace and someone had a spare one to sell to me. This was at least 3 years ago, though. But I'm sure you can always try. I think I paid around $25 for it? I don't remember.

I bought that adapter nearly 4 years ago, I think. There's a sale thread in the Custom B/S/T for E2C adapters where you can also pick up something similar. I had to get the contact spring for the BOG Q5 to get it to work correctly...but I love it! Very compact and throws really well. If I had to sell everything and was left with only three lights, it would be this thing, the L1 Cree, and an M6.
