I picked up a $19.00 Brinkman Maxfire and dropped in an extra Surefire P61 I had. Fits perfectly after simply lifting out the stock reflector and lamp. It's a great $44.00, 120 Lumen light!

Stock, it's not as bright as a G2, 6P, etc; with the stock P60. Now there's no difference in the light output between it and my 6P or G2, with the P61. It's making a real nice "not out much if it gets stolen" light.

I imagine run time isn't too long, not really a problem for casual use, but how hot does the head get after 25 minutes ?

"Stock" light output must have some variation, as the numbers at flashlightreviews.com ranked the total estimated output reference (not lumens) as:

G2 with P61 "70"
Brinkmann Maxfire LX "64"
G2 with P60 "52"

I don't know a thing about those numbers. What I do know, is that the Maxfire was not as bright as the G2, 6P, C2, etc. with the stock P60. The optional P61 blows it away.
