Buck or Buck/Boost with external pot?

Does anyone know of a Buck or Buck/Boost converter that will drive a single cree from 2-3 Li-ions in parallel that is compatible with an external pot?

I've looked at downboys and the GD but unless I'm mistaken none of these can use an exteranl pot.

I've also been looking for a variable output buck converter that can be controlled with an external pot. There was a similar question posted here:

Unfortunately it's unlikely I could re-wire the Iadj pin on a downboy IC.
