Got my Bugout Q5 drop-in today, I tested the lux numbers and wow! I should believe my lux meter, 10,300 lux at 1 meter with using 2xRCR123A.
Here is the beamshot compare to lumapower M1 (P4 version, my former thrower).

I now have a 6P and 6PD sporting the BOG Q5 drop-in and these really are all the light I may ever need. Great throw.

I can screw the bezel down all the way, no gap in my 6P, and works well.

What's the lux reading on the P4 Luma. I am asking cause I am trying to figure out what my DX 1447 cree P4 drop in in my G2 is for Lumens. One of the reviews on CPF said the Lux on the 1447 was 7400.

The lux reading of my M1 P4 I tested before was around 8100 lux with primary cells, and the shot that showed above was using RCR123A, I checked the reading, 7600 lux.

Sorry, I checked again after I comedown, there still has a small gap, but it really not bother me.

looks like it beats the Dereelight CL1H V3 Q5.
Dereelight highest lux reading at 1 meter was 9,300 LUX with 1x18650 cell.
Yes, however if Bugout Q5 can use 18650, that would be great:(

same i have a small gap which is about big nough to fit my nail, but much better than my other light that has a bigger gap.

That Q5 looks real bright! Do P4's vary in brightness or are they all pretty much around 100-150 Lumens and over 7000 Lux.

there was a gap on my C2 and C3. The gap drove me crazy because it caused the clips to be loose.

I gently beveled the edge of the brass "Pill" part and now it fits great.

i also used this technique on a malkoff

Keep in mind lux meters vary, a lot. You can only make comparisions when the lights are tested on the same meter.

For example, my P1D-CE on high reads 2,100LUX, he got 2,960 LUX. His meter is reading 40% higher than mine (I'm assuming he has the P1D-CE P4).

If that's the case, my reading of 9,300LUX + 40% = 13,020 LUX.

Thanks WadeF,
I have been thinking the whole nite too.
Thanks for the answer.

Chao,

Would you say the beam is more of a flood or spot?

I think the beam looks like more spot, but the side spill still very bright.

I took 10m beamshot for BugoutQ5 and compare to lumapower M1(P4) and P3D Q5:)
