Burnt Lux I in L0P-SE?

I bought this L0P-SE secondhand from the marketplace for $15, and when it came 2 days later, I immediately noticed the emitter... I popped in an eneloop, and on high it was a bit less bright then the medium on my LD01. Is that normal? Is the orange on the emitter normal?

Also, on medium, its as bright as my Streamlight Nano...:shakehead

Old Lux emitters do shift color like that.

If output is reduced, maybe the light was used with li-ions for a little too long...
