Button top or flat top cell

I have purchased a Night Patrol for work. I also purchased a 18650 from the CPF marketplace. After ordering I noticed that there is a flat top or a button top. Which type of battery will I need to the night patrol?

update: My Flattop 18650-26 from AW works fine in the light. By the way it is awesome as my first high powered light.

first generation NP owner here- with the P4- running AW's IMR button top (red) 18650. Big Fan. Thinking about the Cree NP 300 as the Logan #7 i have about kicks the P4's arse.

Do you know what the current incarnation of the night patrol is running as far as type of LED?

The XPG is used in the NP300 and the P7 is used in the NP400.
