I can't decide between an Arc AAA-P, Fenix LOD-CE, or Liteflux LF2. They all seem to have their pros and cons... but i can only afford one!!! arghh!!!

I have both Arc-AAA-P and LOD-CE, if you consider brighterness only, LOD-CE will make you very happy.
But it is believe that Arc is more solid.

I'm afraid out of those 3 choices I only have the L0D-CE, but I definitely love this light! I've also given it as gifts to many people and everybody has loved it too.

;)

I vote for the LIteflux LF2.

Has low-low mode with all battery types and over-discharge protection with 10440.

Does not throw as well as the Fenix tho...

How you collect so many brands flashlights?which one you like most?I also want to buy some of them;)

The thing is.... Arc AAA-P is the most reliable and smallest in size but it is also the dimmest. The Fenix has the most throw and is smaller than the Liteflux but has that pulse problem and it's anodizing is not as tough as the others. The Liteflux is the most user friendly, but it's a bit long and being that complicated of a flashlight... i think it's bound to get glitchy if it is accidentally dropped on the floor. Also, both the Fenix and Liteflux almost obligate me to buy rechargeable batteries which add to the cost.

I can't comment on the Liteflux or Arc, but I have an LOD CE natural, and love it. It has been on my keychain for several weeks and it has nary a scratch on it. I don't feel obligated to buy rechargeables for it. I guess I am confused as to why you made that statement. I use an Energizer e2 lithium primary and have not had to change my battery since I got it. I guess it depends on what you are going to use it for. Mine is on my keychain as a backup to my P3D and P2D both of which hang on my belt loop. It is a bright little light that is easy to carry and does what it advertises. I would highly recommend this light as well as any of the other Fenix products.

well i feel obligated to buy rechargeables for it because the runtime seems really short in high mode with alkalines. Is the natural more scratch resistant?

In my case, I believe the natural to be more scratch resistant. I had an LOP SE black and found it starting to wear after being on my keychain only a week. So far, the LOD natural is holding up much better. No scratches at all so far. As far as the battery is concerned, I will never use alkalines. I am partial to the Energizer e2 Lithiums for several reasons. Extra voltage, extra runtime, even discharge rate, long shelf life. I keep rechargeables as back-ups, but the nihms have terrible shelf life and have a self discharge rate of about 1% a day. If you use your light alot, I guess the nihm rechargeables would be the way to go.

Well, I have a Jet-u and C-LE on sale in B/S/T

I'm a bit of a maniac with lights. I like the Fenix as well as the Liteflux. The Jet-u is nice too, much smaller, well finished. Just didn't suit my needs...

my Fenix naturals are more scratch resistant. my black L0D-CE boasts MANY scratches from being in my left front pocket on a micro-biner along with my keys (no. it has never been dropped, misused, etc.). my Natural P2D-CE shows none yet, but hasn't been in my pocket for the same length of time.

I have the 3 models, the Arc is probably the most solid one but is dim and outdated compared to the Cree LOD or the Cree or SSC LF2.
Between the L0D and the LF2 the Fenix is brighter but the LF2 has more modes and is programmable so it depends on your personal preferences.

L0D I have had a few weeks now, and I cannot stand the PWM flicker.
Arc P I've only had a few days and love it, dim compared to the L0D but 5 hours + run time and near indestructible construction makes it my keychain EDC now.

L0D will be up for trade soon.
Just got an Ultrafire B3 from DX seems OK at the moment, plenty of light for such a small size and price, less than £6 GBP outstanding.
And I have an L0P on its way.

you will get the longest runtimes from a energizer L91 I don't have a LOD-CE

but I think its the nicest of the three

LF2, No flicker (high PWM), rechargeable option, SSC or Cree, Fully programmable, reasonably priced ($45), Better construction at the threads and internals.

bondr006,

yes, i did follow that link. that's why i'm attempting to contact olight001.

the T20 light looks very nice and those light levels look perfect for most of my uses.

the run times are probably a bit optimistic and might be taken down to a 1 or 2 lux reading is my guess. however, that's how most manufaturer's do it, so my words should NOT be misconstrued to be against OLIGHT. they are NOT a judgement; just an observation. big names like PETZL and Black Diamond use such optimistic burn times too. rarely, with only a few exceptions, has a headlamp provided usuable light in the forest for nighttime navigation for as long as any manufacturer claims. typically, only semi-, or fully- regulated lights have lived up to (or come close to) manufacturer's claimed burntimes, in my experience. if i didn't miss it, the webpage doesn't say if the T20 output is regulated. the statement "Unique digital circuit control technique" doesn't necessarily imply regulation, just a method of switching on-and-off and changing output modes.

Elsewhere, olight001 wrote that OLIGHT needs a North American or USofA distributor, so i'm not sure that i'll be able to purchase one directly from China. however, it looks like a nice light, so, i figured that i would at least try.

Looks like the run times and output levels are very similar to the Fenix P3D, except it has one more level at 25 lumens. I am very interested in finding out more about this light and how much it costs. Please keep us posted half-watt.

BTW...My wife is Chinese and from Shanghai. We will be going to China for a month later this year, and one of the places I will be visiting is Shenzhen. I am hoping to visit the Fenix people and now maybe olight001.
