Cateye Stadium 3 replacement lamp

I have a Stadium 3 that uses a Welch Allan Solarc 20W(?) lamp. I don't want to spend $300 on a replacement lamp. Has anyone managed to get any other HID lamp into this light and make it work?

i used to think abt it when i was cycling...

btw, if i recall correctly, its a 21watt bulb , and since its made by WA, which is already a custom bulb, i doubt u have no other choice.

wanna to check out yr local bic shop if they have a spare or selling it cheaper to u ?
