If I charged 3 26650's http://www.batteryspace.com/limnnirechargeable26650cell37v4000mah10arated148wh.aspx
in series with this charger http://www.batteryspace.com/smartch...rgeablebatterypackwithtrail-techmaleplug.aspx would I be tempting faith? Or will this work?

I want to build a sst 90 light that could pull as much as 9 amps and I need a battery pack that will fit in a 3D mag and run the light for an hour. The driver requires 6V to be able to run.

Those would work but I need to be able to charge them and I really don't want to have to charge them each seperate on a rigged charger any other options?

It doesn't look like that charger balances the cells. You will want a charger that properly balances each cell. I'd recommend getting a hobby charger. Something like the Turnigy Accucell-6.

A simple setup as described in this post will enable you to charge several of these cells at one time if you use parallel charging as shown in the last photo in that post.

so if I built a cradle that held the batteries in a parallel arrangement for charging everything would work right and the batteries would be ballanced and charged safely?

Yes but not with the charger you linked to in your first post. It appears that particular charger is designed to only charge a specific pack of cells arranged in series. You need a hobby charger that has the capability of charging single cells (1S, 4.20 V), like the Accucell 6 to name one example, in order to safely do parallel charging of multiple cells. But assuming use of such a charger, yes the cells will self balance if parallel charged.

This is possible if you have one of mentioned balance charger and you connect both terminals of each cell to charging connector. This process for batteries will be out of flashlight which is not very convenience but doable.
Running several wires out of flashlight is not very simple which makes the charging cells inside flashlight more difficult when connected in serial.
How do you want to charge cells in parallel while they are connected in serial inside flashlight? Unless you remove them which is again inconvenience.
BTW, your SSt90 will never need or take 9 Amps @ 11 volt.
If it's regulated, current draw of batteries will be lower as input voltage goes up.

I would have to charge out of the light either way. I was thinking a hobby charger set to 12000mah and charge the batteries in a parrale configuration just jumping all the + over to the + lead of the charger and all the - over to the - of the charger.

I debating on going regulated with Der Witchtel's driver and the 3 26650,s 4000mah or going DD with a d2flex and 3 NiMh 10000mah LSD.
