Cheap parts for a Newb?

Hey guys....just trying to get started on modding on a small budget.
I was an electronics hobbyist in the early 80s and back then there were places where you could get big bags of electronics parts for experimenting for very little $ . I'm just starting out and on a fixed income and wondered if any of you modders know if there is a source for older but still useable 'grab bag' parts for flashlight modding. Thanks for takin a look.

You could always try some of the HK-based webshops wich we do not speak out loud about


...one of them starts with a Deal and ends with extreme.... and the usual dotcom of course... end then you have the well known Kai whose domain ends with dotcom...

The two cheapest place I know of are Dealextreme(DIY section) and Kaidomain(DIY section).

No flashlight bodies or heatsinks though.

Sandwich shoppe is also another good place.
