Maybe tomorrow is really the ship date!!! You have been building these up in the secret Sabrewolf lair and they are ready to go???:poke::crackup:

The "Micro" is taken (don't remember where tho)
Razor sounds kinda cool. Maybe a Vote?
Its gonna have about 20 lumens with a single mode.
So maybe, Uhm, "Taglight" ? I dunno?

o, just thought of another name. Since you dig dog-tag, might as well have it as Wolf-tag. You could even trademark it. ;)

WolfTag™ - The only light you need to tame the wild

Awesome clip design! Love that desert tan microtech too. Id like to do my DE scarab in that color.

can we see pictures of the work in progress??
It would be nice

I'd like the money clip in the bezel up position, and I'd like to add an 8G memory card. :paypal:

One further question on the money clip: you mentioned options on attachment previously; how hard is it to flip the clip the other way of desired? Or is it more or less a permanent position?

acourvil, good idea about flipping the clip. :thanks:

for pocket-carry and asthetics, i prefer bezel down. but as Morelite says, if you want to clip it to something to use while on, bezel up is more practical.

i'd say, do not countersink the clip but provide the inset screws on both ends. that way you could mount the clip bezel up or bezel down - depending on need. it can go both ways :naughty:

not sure it would be practical to switch in the field though.

the lanyard in on the bezel end. with the clip in the bezel down position, i guess then if you had it clipped to something it wouldn't be the easiest to pull it off by the lanyard, right? ok, i'm confusing myself...:)

because of the flash-drive functionality, i will primarily edc this in my briefcase anyway, probably with the lanyard. think it will draw some attention when i pull it out to boot-up my next big presentation? :twothumbs

what i'm still pondering is a pleasing way to carry the usb cable? i wonder what it would look like wrapped around the clip?

Its not permanent.. But if you change positions, you will have to
fill the screwhole with a setscrew or similar to keep the light water
resistant. If you previously had the clip installed on the front,
you could easily install it on the back by moving the battery,
And drilling/tapping the holes. But the same cannot be done with
the front (bezel up) unless you had a blind-tap to make threads.
And, you would also need to have a drillbit-stop to keep the bit
from putting a hole in the driver and charger boards as they are
fairly close to the inside front wall. Hopefully that all made sense

So to recap.. If you originally opted for a bezel up clip... You
could switch to a bezel down by drilling/tapping holes using
regular tools. The other way.. Not so easy. (but dooable)

Thats an interesting thought :sssh:
For those who want to install it on either side, I could do away with
the flush mounting (not do any slotting to the body) and just drill/tap
holes in both the front and back of the light. Lets make it an option then.
I'll put it on the options list in the first post. 4 set screws will be provided
to those that want this setup. But keep in mind, If you have the clip
installed in the bezel-down config, It won't tailstand. Bezel-up will
tailstand because the setscrews that fill the holes won't stick out.
It is the same amount of work to do a slot in the body and 2 screwholes
as just doing 4 screwholes without the flush-mounted slot.

As for the lanyard.. If you have the clip installed bezel-up, Just route
the lanyard though the clip so you can pull it out of your pocket.
That way it won't try to do a somersault in your pants :faint:

This is an interesting thread to follow. When I first got wind of the project before you started the prepay, I was super excited. Then when the prepay started and I was broke, I lost interest for a while. When I prepaid my interest went up again, and now as I am seeing constant updates and know the completion date is right around the corner I can hardly control myself. The wait is the hardest part but I'm confident it will be worth it in the end. :grin2:
