Hi everyone, first post here.
I've been a MT fanatic since last year. They've finally got me! I currently have two real multitools, a Leatherman Wave and a Juice S2. The wave sees mosly work and camping/hiking related use while the Juice sees everything else day to day. I'm currently looking for that one in-between Leatherman offering (I'm a bit partial to the Leatherman line in particular) Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Supertool 300. I think you need something bigger, but I can't recommend the Surge due to the (relatively) poor build quality of the few I've handled--this is relative to the Charge models I've examined.

The SOG Powerlock is another good one if you're willing to branch out a bit. The compound gearing of the jaws makes for an amazing set of cutters. It's unbelievable what be cut with the Powerlock.

Please trust me and branch out to try a sog offering. Let's put it this way, I had a $120 leatherman charge xti loaded out with toolkit and everything, my bud showed me his $40 sog powerplier s44 that he was talking about had replaced his leatherman supertool 300 I thought he was an idiot until I tried his out for a week and realzed he was right, they make a much better tool, more leverage, better made tools, fully modular you can order what ever tools you want and build your multitool into YOUR tool with stuff you actually need and none of the junk you don't. Btw they are all made in lynnwood,WA. leatherman has moved the forging and casting of jaws to Mexico so they don't put made in USA anymore and I wouldn't be surprised if they moved more production south of the border.

to offer another option: victorinox spirit.

or go minimal and buy the soon to released squirt ps4. (i know i am waiting for it to come for sale)

i just got my juice s2 yesterday and WOW its great! if it only had locking tools.. it would be perfect. but as is. its awesome! i dont want to carry anything heavyer everyday on me. this i can. (and it fits my flashlight holster too.. 47s quark aa)

If you want to branch out, I'd recommend a Swisstool for a large MT, and for a neat different smaller tool a SOG paratool. The neat thing about the SOGs is that you can customize them and the Victorinox Swisstools (and Spirits) are beautifully built.
