The advertised runtime of the package states 10 hours so I put it to the test. I started the test @ noon and had to turn off the light before I went to bed. So yes the light did run for 10 full hours with the stock battery and still had some useable light afterward. The light seems to run at full potential for about 5 hours before a noticeable decrese in output. Thats not bad for one AA battery. This one deserves an E2 lithium!

Stated lumens is 38.5 and the light has a forward clickie! The optics of this light gives in nice spot and throw but lacks in sidespill. But thats okay, this is one of my favorites!

Another note, I put in a 14500 and just momentarily turned the light on! HOLY CR@P!! The output is awesome with a 14500 but I do not plan to use it because I do not want to ruin this light. Would be nice to see other manufactures use optics in their lights.

I have to agree that digitac II is a great light I got mine only because I had gift card I needed to spend. I keep it on my headboard next to my old style Fenix l2p with 1 aa tube . seems I always reach for the digitac II. I really like the switch and the beam pattern is great for an indoor or work light.

It looks like the digitac rechargeable is very much like the digitac AA except that it has a 14500 in it. I wonder if they have the same heads/circuits? Probably a different circuit to handle the 3.7 v current.

I also just picked up a tactical focus beam today and WOW! If they ever put a Cree or Seoul in these lights they will definately be one I will have to get! I can't believe the difference in throw, efficiency and runtime with the optics!

Have to agree with what was said on this light, just wish it had more side spill as L-E-D pointed out.

I did an informal runtime test one night put a new lithium aa 1.5 v in my digitac II and my fenix l2p with one aa tube and turned them on . using a UK4aa led as a reference I compared the lights by bouncing the lights off the ceiling . I couldn't see a difference in total light. At 3 hr. I could see that both were dimer than the constant regulation UK4aa.
At 3hr 20 min the fenix was fading fast and at 3hr 35min it was done. the digitac II kept going for almost an hour before it started fading fast for a 4.5 hr runtime.
