That's good news. More choices and competition should help lower prices. And after a while, we should be able to find some killer close-out deals on Cree lights.

I agree, this is good news IMO. The increased competition and higher demand leads to increased production. The net result is lower cost LEDs and continuing innovation.

Don't worry; there will be a next-generation Cree-killer soon enough, and if you're willing to shell out the money, you can be back at the top of the ladder again... (remember shelling out $70 for a P1D-CE)
