confused about strion adapters, pin base sizes, and strion bulb options

I'm trying to find something brighter than the strion bulb for both my FM A2 strion adapter, as well as my FM D26 strion adapter.
Regarding the A2, I know that LF makes a brighter bulb assy., but I wondered if there was a brighter T-1.5(I think that is the right base size) bulb that will fit the adapter, knowing that the A2 circuitry 'steps it down' to 4.5v.
I would like to run the D26 in a 6P set up for 3 or 4 AA eneloops.
The sales threads by both ProofTech and Litho are for G-4 base bulbs, right? I already have some G-4 bulbs I will use in my FM G-4 adapter, once I get the parts to complete an ROP.
I tried ordering some CL1133 (5v) and CL1222 (6v) T-1.5 bi-pin bulbs from the Carley website last night, and the order went through, but I got an e-mail this morning saying that they are discontinued and they don't actually have any, so they cancelled my order.
The strion bulb is a nice, low-cost alternative; I was just hoping that there was a brighter option.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I did some searches trying find out more info; thank you for your patience.

A2 with Strion bulb is brightest setup and nobody else have made any brighter option yet.
Strion bulb is a 3.7 volt, 1.7 Amp, 35 hrs bulb which is overdriven to 4 volt by A2
Any higher current bulb (if any available) may cause overload A2's circuit.
As long as your 3 NiMH batteries are well rested in 3AA D26 host, Strion bulb is brightest choice.
Some other options for D26 Strion setup are single IMR 26650, 26500, 18650 and 18500

hmm,
I am about to get some spare for my :poof: bulb, but wonder ...
.. I had the impression it was Your adapter + the stinger bulb

and while browsing, I thought of the Strion bulb possibly be less bright and thus an longer runtime alternative

or are these bulbs the same?
(strion and stinger, no strion HP)

yellow,
I just came across this website the other day, and I think it might be helpful for comparing the different Streamlight T1.5 bi-pin bulbs:

In the 'voltage' area of this page, you can click on the different 'grey-box voltage numbers', and it will show you the different streamlight flashlight bulbs meant for those voltages. I don't have any Streamlights, and I can never remember the different model names/voltages. It could also be useful, for example, if you have a Streamlight 3-C Twin-Task, and want to use 3 NiMH C-cells for it, so you could figure out the best Streamlight bulb to use for 3.6v, instead of 4.5 volts.

Strion bulb is brighter than Stinger bulb in A2 socket but Stinger bulb has longer life in same setup.

All voltage mentioned in above table are
NOMINAL VOLATGE and not actual voltage.

Strion bulb is rated as 3.7 volt and Stinger bulb is rated as 3.6 volt while Stinger bulb can handle more voltage than Strion bulb.
