Constant daily use E01.

I have been using my L2D as a to-be-seen light, attached to my bicycle helmet. I have been using it on the lowest mode, since this is enough to be seen. I have a E01, and thought it would make a much better light for this situation, it's smaller, lighter, and cheaper (don't need to worry about crashes), and bright enough.

Do you think that running the E01 for up to 1hr a day will degrade its output with in 6 months? Also will it last being exposed to temperatures of -10c?

It's only 180 hours tops so no there won't be any degrade in output. Light will survive -10c no problem, I'd worry more about battery not performing at that temp.

L1D doesn't have tac switch.

LED's do better in cold and use Energizer Lithium AAA's in the cold.

Ok thanks, my E01 is strapped to the helmet and ready to do its job.

E01 is probably running the LED at close to the 20 mA spec so it should have a looong life. Earlier tests indicated that most 5 mm LEDs went about 6000 hours before degrading to 50% when running at 20 mA.

luckily, they are cheap enough to replace if it really does get worn out!
