I came here because I was born a Flashaholic, Always admired lights and their ability to make the darkness go away, 7 years ago I wanted to replace a Mag Solitaire for something brighter and found Brock's page with a link to this site. It's funny being at that time member number 38 and how the technology has evolved, Anyone remembers the GX-4 (Or was it DX?) led solitaire mod?

Wow, the stimulus to the brain (#2) is slightly edging the stimulus to the heart (#1)... I'll have to tell my wife about this! ;)

The 12 volt battery that's shorter than an AAA cell is the A23, commonly used in cigerette lighters; also used in the Glo-Toob and in the Bulldog "Superbright Lifetime Flashlight".

I purchased one of those LED Rebel flashlights and used it camping with my wife. She thought it was too dim to see anything. So I thought about researching on the internet for what better quality lights were out there. That was about four years ago. I still enjoy telling our friends that it was on my wife's suggestion that I got into this hobby. :)
