I can see that thier are differences in the "capacity rating" of various different CR123's. Some are 1500 mah, some 1300 mah, and others even less.
Is the assumption safe that cells with the higer capacity ratings will last longer under use ?? If so, does it make much sense to buy the cheapest batteries around just to "save money" ??

Then who would make the battery that is "the best deal" for the amount of light you get before you have to replace the battery ??

$/mha sound reasonable?

I'm just going to buy the cheapest out there and not worry about it - indeed, I hope to get some rechargeables soon...

Take a look at the results of 20 different brands of primary CR123A cells in Silverfox's 123 Battery Shoot Out thread.

There's nothing better than independent third party testing to determine which battery manufacturers are honest with their capacity ratings and which are just blowing smoke and should be avoided.
