Good morning! Not quite 28hrs, two down... Around 1:45 this morning, woke up to tell the pre-teen stepdaughter and two of her friends sleeping over to keep the racket down. Aleph mule was down to a faint glow, close enough to Titan to call it a day. 20hrs. 15min,+/-. Waited till this morning, cell measured 2.12v. Woke at 6:30 to walk Bear, our 120lb. husky mix. He was rather insistent... MiNi cr2 was almost dead, by the time I got back up at 7:30, it had shut off. 25+hrs? Battery read 1.94v. Everyone else still going, Eiger is getting rather dim, Aeon is still looking good. Fauxton dimmer, but still going. Yes, btw, both Titans are the Ti variety... SN's 0086 and 0679. Maybe July 4th was a good guess. :) 4Sevens website says 3.8 days for MiNi, I will pop another cell in and start again now with that one to give them the benefit of the doubt... Tasklight w/ Mini flupic still in the running. Second MiNi CR2 starting now. Will be in next group photo. Aeon really hanging in there. I was trying to remember the projected runtime on it, but it escapes me... Off to google! My bad- Said Aeon in this post, the light running is an Ion...

very cool.....Aeon is chuggin along. For anyone who might have been on the fence if the Eiger was a decent replacement for Arc P AAA- the level 1 would seem to be a perfect replacement at the same price. Thanks for this way cool runtime test!

Almost 31 hours, and we can stick a fork in the Fauxton... Down to Titan levels, 2.81v when the two 2016 3v batteries are stacked together... Aeon still looking great, Tasklight looks the same, Eiger looks like it may be next on the block to go. More as it happens! :) Same bad, wrote Aeon, meant Ion...

Curious how your Matterhorn did well over 69 hours (what was the final runtime before you ended it, you never said in the other thread Scout?) and this Eiger is struggling to keep up less than half the time the Matterhorn did. Doesn't make sense unless I understood something wrong. Correct me if I am wrong but:

*you used a reg alkaline AAA in the Matterhorn test

*your Eiger is a #1 power level

Curt mentioned the Eiger with XPG would be more efficient than the older Matterhorn, but this is looking like just the opposite. What am I missing here?

IIRC the Aeon is spec'd at 60hrs on low. I'm surprised the Eiger is fading already.

31 1/2 hrs, the Ion shut off like somebody flicked a switch. This is the older Ion, not the current Aeon, BTW... Sorry for confusion, I did write Ion in original post, which is correct. Don't want to take away anything from Enrique's lights... Aeon is much newer and I am sure more efficient. Sorry!! Battery measured 2.11v on my meter, and the light fired right back up when I put a new cell in it. Down to Ti Titan, PF's Tasklight, and the Eiger. Yes, the Eiger is a power level 1, as was the Matty. Different batches of batteries, but all U.S. made. I did discover while legoing that the Matty, Eiger, Sapphires, and Arc AAA all have the same threads, so what I will do if and when the Eiger gives up is put the Matty head and Eiger head on Sapphire bodies and run them head-to-head with batteries out of the same pack to see who wins.:) While keeping track of these, and the re-run of the MiNi CR2...:faint:

BTW- I took the batteries from the Ion and the MiNi CR2 and put them in my Milkycandle II to see how long that will run. Lowest setting for the white LED... Started at 2:30.pm.

The runtime on the 4sevens MiNi CR2 is very disappointing! :shakehead

I suppose it could be the battery wasn't up to snuff... :shrug:

5:30pm, Eiger gave up. Dimmer than Titan, I have been out doing yardwork, but I'll give it 36hrs...:shrug: 1.01v on my meter... Tasklight and Titan still going. I want to run the Matty and Eiger heads, along with the EO1 and Arc AAA-P out of the same pack of batteries, I am going to the store for dinner and will pick up an 8 pack of AAA's and start that after dinner. I, too, am suprised at the Eiger performance, and want to do it again with no variables. I did start the MiNi CR2 with another 4Sevens cell, I assumed they were tailored to the light. Maybe I got a bad one... Be back soon!

D'OH! That would be a great idea... I did save it, but just started the "All from the same pack" test... Maybe I should check in before doing anything... I will give that a shot after this round. OK then... 38 1/2 hrs. for the Titan and tasklight, both still chugging along. 12 1/2 for the re-test of the MiNi, and the new contenders are: Left to right, EO1, Matty level 1 head on my Sapphire body, Eiger head on the Matty body (It would not thread cleanly into the second Sapphire body, and there was no way I was forcing the issue...) and the Arc AAA-P. USA made Coppertops, 2016 date, from Stop and Shop grocery store. Note to self, never retail purchase batteries again if you can help it...:) I'll be back!!! Started at 8PM EST.

Oh man am I glad I went for the power level #1 Eiger! These have been some of the best test threads of late, great work!! And wow, Stop and Shop? It's been 15 years since I've lived in CT, forgot about that place. It's all Publix and Kroger here in GA.
