I would like to upgrade my Surefire M2 Centurion to a Cree LED. What brands are recommended, pro's / con's, any suggestions would be helpful.
I came across two different Cree lamps on Pacific Tactical Solutions for my Surefire M2. The first is D26 Cree P4 LED 3.7 - 6V *High Output. The second lamp is D26 Cree P4 LED 3.7 - 13V *High Output. Both are rated to 170 lumens! Which lamp will work with my M2. I am unsure which voltage will work and which one would be too much. Please help!!!
The First one with work only if you are using two CR123 primarys (non rechargable) batteries because they are 3V each, or a 17670 rechargeable.
The second one will work with both the Primarys and with the rechargeable Li-Ion batteries like the RCR123a (Li-ion CR123a's at 3.7V each) and the 17670's (width by length in mm's, bascially the size of two CR123a's, 3.7V single)
Thanks for the help. I think I will try a Malkoff Devices P60 drop-in for my rifle mounted Surefire and the Wolf-Eyes high output 170 drop-in for my Surefire M2 which I keep on my tac vest for room searches, etc... If anyone else has any other suggestions I'm open to anything. Thanks again!
