Whos got the best deals on primary CR123's right now?

I'm interested in this too. Bought my first Surefire and want to keep it well fed.. . .

Matt,

Do you have a flat shipping rate for batteries or is it determined by location.

Personally, I love BatteryStation. You can get thier off brand at a bood price and it IS still a good battery. Decent quality. Deff better than the wtf batteries. that and you can get most any name brand for at least 50% off what you can get it at the store.

I am searching for a good deal with international shipping right now.
I'd buy 20-40 Battery station batteries but the shipping kills the deal.
Fenix-store has panasonic CR123, 16 batteries for 36$ including shipping (use CPF8 code to get 8% discount).

I ended up going with AW 750mah RCR123 cells. Got 2 and 2 spacers from lighthound, and a couple from Fenix-Store. To hell with buying tons of primaries. Everything else I have switched over to rechargables so I figured it was high time to get some RCR123s. If I like them, I'll get more.

Being that I now have (2) 3.7v cells in my TK10, can I expect even more power when it gets dark tonight?

I recently placed an order for Duracell Ultra 123's from Battery Junction. Best price I've seen when you order at least 10. Less than $2 each. Hoping the expiration date is good.

Thanks Edwood!

We move through tens of thousands Duracells a month so they're always very fresh -the current pallet/batch reads good through September 2017.

I've often wanted to purchase things from Battery Junction - but their shipping to the UK is sky high..........Why does it cost $25 to post 10 CR123's to the UK?:(
In this example -The shipping costs over 160% of the price of the goods being dispatched!

I've checked numerous shipping agencies and their costs are nowhere near this price..... I just don't understand where this figure comes from.

Is it just a stealth tax to dissuede international customers?

Tim.

:mecry:+1.
If you order 16 Panasonic CR123A batteries from fenix-store, it's 2.07$ per battery including shipping (after discount).
The same ammount of batteries costs 2.8$/battery from batteryjunction.

We welcome and encourage international orders.

We ship USPS Priority Mail which is the least expensive insurable method. Shippers offering any less expensive shipping are using USPS First Class, a slower method and one without insurance.

You can see the rates yourself here - also remember that packaging has a weight:
http://postcalc.usps.gov/IntlMailServices.aspx?Country=10143&M=2&P=0&O=18&sd=1

Order value/cost is irrelevant to shipping price, all that matters is weight and distance. If you ordered 4 small flashlights, like LumaPower IncenDios, at $200+ you could ship them for basically the same as a $1 keychain light. This is beyond our control and there's no 'hidden tax.'

Also, with international shipping it's the first pound that's the most expensive so small international shipments can cost nearly as much as larger ones.

As you can see a 2 oz order costs $20, before insurance, to ship to the UK:
http://postcalc.usps.gov/IntlMailServices.aspx?Country=10143&M=2&P=0&O=2&sd=1

A 2lb order, 16 times heavier, costs $24, before insurance, to ship to the UK:

UPS/DHL/FDX are significantly more expensive than USPS and make customs/duty and brokerage far more likely to be incurred. The US, unlike some other countries, expects it's postal system to be self-supporting; it is not financially supported by nor are it's rates subvented by the federal government.

I fully agree with MATTK.

I have a small business and ship worldwide regularly. The same product, same box, same weight costs (5 pound box) about $21 from NY to California, but $46 to the UK, Italy, Spain, France, Holland, Australia, or other overseas location. I use the USPS insured Priority Mail, and Express Mail (international).

I have bought a lot of stuff from Battery Junction and their shipping is normal and fair.

Off topic but in relation to the last posts. I don't understand USPS sometimes. I sent two small light packages the other day that were identical. The one going the east coast cost $1.13 for first class. The other one went to Canada by first class & only cost $0.69. When I asked the clerk about it they could not give me an answer.

It's the United States Postal Service. Why is shipping more expensive to ship within our own states than to ship it to the country right next to us? That's flat out stupid. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for your validation and support on the topic Doug. :)

We don't WANT it to be expensive; we're in the business of selling product, not marking up shipping so it's bad for us when the shipping is expensive.
