Custom AA/14500 cell light?

Hi, I'm looking for a custom flashlight that uses one AA/14500 cell with at least two light levels that is quality made! I use to collect custom flashlight, etc; but have been away from the forum for a few years! Any advice appreciated! LIght would be a edc!

There are more than a few commercial 1xAAs that would meet your criteria; two notable examples being the Nitecore D10 (https://www.4sevens.com/product_inf...d=709&osCsid=f59585dafa0f23aa7bc3961105a220e7) and the JetBeam Jet I Pro (http://www.bugoutgearusa.com/jetipro.html). The Nitecore uses an infinitely variable brightness ramp, and the Jet uses a ramp plus three user settable modes. Both are specifically designed to accept 14500s, have excellent build quality, and are popular favorites at only ~$70 each.

The NiteCore Defender Infinity also meets that requirement.

On the AA front, the Fenix L1T v2.0 is a simple choice which performs stupendously on NiMH cells.

Photonfanatic doesn some pretty nice work with lights, you might want to look at that.

There are also many commercial lights that work too.

ARC mania still makes custom AA lights. He doesn't always sell them through CPF, but they occasionally show up second hand.
