Just found one black 2AA from CPF,thanks a lot for CPF,also for FiveMega:twothumbs
I used to own three of the 3xAA bodies. Two of them were fitted with an M30WF, powered by three 1.6 to 1.7V nickel-zinc (NiZn) cells. The M30 series can take upward of 5 volts; I think the stated limit is 5.2V. That being the case, I urge you to feed your M30 three NiZn cells, or (for occasional use) three Energizer L91 lithium primaries. When an M30 is powered by 5V instead of 3.8V, your eyes will see the diffference.Fivemega, I just sent you an e-mail.
Everyone else,
I'm surprised that these haven't all been sold by now, because they just seem so useful. I'm going to use one of my 3xAA bodies to run a Malkoff M30 (not M31) on 3 eneloops/primaries, and the other-colored body to run a Malkoff M60LL on the same combination of cells, with maybe a P60, P61, or FM D26 kit w/Strion bulb (only w/NiMH's) for variety's sake.
