First, my goals and purpose and givens:
* I have a Pineapple body
* I want to make this my go-to self-defense light
* It fits 17670 without boring

What I want:
A cheap quad-core solution; something to one-up my Malkoff. (Perhaps this?)

I've tried scoring a Malkoff P7 on the Marketplace, but they never show up when I have money (which is now kinda tight). Also, the Malkoff route entails tracking down another Z52, the sold-out VME head, and a mineral glass/sapphire/UCL lens for the not-inherently-lensed prototype.

Short of scoring one of the rare E2C adapters, what can I do? Preferably, the flashier the better, by the way. (Pun not intended)

I have the MCE D26 DX module. It's not very interesting, it seems more like 200 lumens than 400, and the beam is not clean at all (black cross in the center of the spot).

How sharply defined is the cross? Sharp enough to aim with? I need a light for my paintball gun...

Also, what kind of power are you feeding it?

Rare? Since when?

I like the VME head on the Pineapple.

My favorite Pineapple combo is probably the Surefire or Vital Gear E2C and a 6PD bezel. I don't have a pic, but here's one of the aforementioned E2C's and a pokey Solarforce bezel.

God, that's the first time I've genuinely liked those Solarforce porcupine bezels. Just need to find an E2C, and find something beastly bright (and throwy?) to put inside.

The cross is more a black spot than a sharply defined cross ;)
I use this module with an AW18650 or an IMR18650 (AW) without difference. It cannot take a higher voltage anyway.

I was looking for the TnC ones, because they were the ones I knew of best... and I like the contour best. OTOH, I can't find any other for sale right now, so...
There was a seller in the Marketplace with a bunch of the Vital Gear adapters, but it looks like he sold out a few weeks ago. AFAIK, the Vital Gear piece is still in production, so there should be other sources.

And the Surefire E2C is always available from Surefire dealers, but you have to buy the LU60A kit to get it.

Between McGizmo, DSpeck, TnC, Vital Gear and Surefire, there's no shortage of E2C's out there. I suspect you'd have no trouble tracking one down with a WTB post in the Marketplace.

Does that Deerelight play nice with Picatinny rails?

Also, good grief?! $78? x_x

I'll give WTB a try, I guess.
