Nerd,

These are just the converter board and not a sandwich with the emitter board as well. The LED must reside elsewhere. I have used these in almost all of my mods and I can definitely blame Wayne for adding fuel to the flame of my passion for flashlights! Without his drivers, I'd likely be doing something else with my idle time.............

I love that regulator!
Building up a 5 watt monster with that regulator sure would make life easier. Then again, I am leaving for "the big sand box" for several months and by the time I get back, hopefully the Wizard voltage/current regulator and 50,000 hour 5 watt LS will be available. Oh yeah, and add Electrolumens 30mm optics... oh yeah, the beast will come together!
Buy the parts, machine a gigantic copper heatsink and put one 5w LS with Wayne's optics in it. Patch in the regulator... and a switch for one collimated LS, one regular LS for flood... and hopefully both of them for spot/flood. OK, make that two regulators.
Sounds like a mess to do, but knowing that I have the regulator making sure I won't nuke the emitters... then I can play!
Should be back in May and buying parts. Hmmm, thermal epoxy, dremels, soldering irons and grinders.

I'm not surprised no one here on CPF is that worried. I'm worried...

Trying to imagine what monster is brewing at the other end kinda scares me!

Wayne,

Be afraid! Benthead just bought a chain saw and forklift on Ebay!

I would say that the 750 with a 1 Good one watter will produce interesting results.... lol...

Wonder if it's safe to use PCB to metal contact for heatsinking or is alu to metal contact a must if the LS 1 watter is driven at 750...
