Dimming Options For Surefire KL4 - Two Stage Tail Cap?

I have and really like the SF KL4 E Series head, but it gets too hot and is too bright for most of what I would like to use it for. I'd like to get a two-stage tail cap, but I can only find parts for the McGizmo's that were once available.
Will a tail cap from an E1L, or any other SF E series light work? Are there any other options?

I had the same question some time back, and what was suggested to me was Trueblue's tailcap mod as described here:

I have modified my tailcap as described and I really like it. I actually used a Netkidz clicky switch, as it was easier to modify. My L4 switch was different then what was shown in the post. I also used some heatshrink around the resistor and lead, and soldered the lead to the side of the switch instead of the base, so that the switch makes better contact.

What a shame there are no more 2-stage tails for sale, and good luck if you're trying to find one in the marketplace.

Thanks for the replies -

I picked up an older SF E2 light that has a two-stage twisty, it's really nice. I would like to pick up a couple more, is the McE2S available somewhere? I can only find parts at the sandwich shoppe - or do you mean available in the Marketplace? Hard to snag one there.
