disassemble cheap multiled light ?

... that breed with an aluminium colored front with some holes where 5mm leds are located?
Cant disassemble.
I even tried by drilling through some of the leds, put in whatever tool was at hand and twisted.
Did not even move.

Has anyone already disassembled these parts? How?

It sounds like a glued press fit.

The most frequent method is to heat gently before trying to twist something apart. Another popular method is to force out the LED part using the expansion of water as it freezes.

freeze-pop does not work, these are not watertight
