Disassembling Zebralight w/o damage.

I'd leave the guts out and assemble it so it's watertight. I think it would make a really cool looking extra cell holder. Maybe fasten a narly paracord leash on it?

The driver looks incredibly compact! And where is the potting? Was this a real Zebra?

Not the OP, but I've done some Zebra modding. I personally wouldn't even try to save the glass. The boot is hard to replace so I don't risk mine. I just break the glass, lever out the steel retaining ring and it comes right apart. Do the mod, buy a new lens (fasttech usually has the right size), put it back together. Easy enough, at least on older lights with a stand-alone mcpcb.

Thanks - I have one acting up - it seems to need a good hit to stay on the highest level about every 3rd use - so it will probably come to taking it apart - It has served me well for about 6 years - daily use - Have a great New Year
