dissasembly of LL 7736

Hi everyone, i'm new here but would like to start with a question if that is ok. I recently purchased a led lenser 7736 (expensive i know) but it seems to work and feel very well. Anyhow, I have found just one rubber O ring which was located on the battery/clickie cap. The led when unscrewed had no O ring. What i observed was quite a lot of whitish crystaline powder spilling out all over the place from the thread as i unscrewed the led end from the main body. I would like to know what this powder was. Has anyone else come across this when disassembling one of these? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks.
