I'll tell you what, for edc, that little light seems hard to beat. The question is having an ARC-AAA-P do I really need to plop down another $40?. This may be a dumb question that has been addressed b4 but just looking for opinions.
The Arc is ALWAYS in my pocket, but the Fenix is Soooo tempting.:ohgeez:

I own both. I love the Arc AAAp finish, form factor, design, etc, but the L0D CE blows it away in terms of light ouput and versatility. Wish we could have the L0D CE electronis and LED in the Arc body for the L0D CE price.

Yes you do. I just placed my order for one 5 minutes ago, and I too had an Arc AAA on my keychain (which died).

I have both! You won't regret the L0D-CE. Twisty is easy to operate and this gem is bright! In fact I now EDC both my Arc AAA-P and my L0D-CE. Arc on keychain and L0D-CE in pocket with pocket clip!

I am very happy with my L0D-CE Just by playing with it around the house I found an expensive digitial camera that was lost for two years in a dark corner behind a desk. It has paid for itself many times allready!!!!

Yes. Once you try the L0D-CE, the Arc will become just a happy memory.

Damn this board!!! :D

I'm thinking of one too. The multiple modes are just so handy, like having many flashlights in one. The ARC looks like a great nearly indestructible light, but it doesn't have the higher outputs. The L0D CE on high can be used like a real flashlight.

Here's an exhibit of the versatility...

So on low, you get 9 hours of runtime at an estimated 9 lumens on Energizer Lithium. If you wanted lower, Alkaline will get you down to about and estimated 7.5 lumens (though not as nicely regulated as the Arc) for over 5 hours. Therefore the L0D CE with Alkaline on low is very comparable to the Arc AAAp, but with whiter tint.

On high you get 1 hour and 20 minutes at an estimated 60+ lumens on Energizer Lithium.

Dare to go 10440? How about an estimated 150+ lumens for 10 minutes.

Just staggering performance from a light this size. Except for possibly PWM frequency, there's very little to complain about as far as performance is concerned.

oh goodness williamv, they're not even in the same league. Use your arc for going to the bathroom at night. Use the LOD-CE for everything else.

Better idea, carry both and use the Arc as a spare battery holder for the L0D.

Man! you guys are making this hard to resist...I'm gonna have to get another torch!...:ohgeez: Does the PWM circuit kick in on the lowest setting only???
