I think I remember reading somewhere that new ni-mh batteries have to be fully discharged 3 times to reach their full capacity.

It this something I should do to new batteries or is this something I shouldn't worry about?

thanks

It was good with standard NiMH that had been on the shelf for a while but it seems much less important with low self discharge NiMH. Anyway, don't bother with that, use them and they will reach their full capacity at some point. The increase will probably be very small...

Agree.

The increase after 3-5 cycles might be 0-20%. Nothing to really worry about.
