Does a board exist that can drive two P7's in serial ?

I'm looking at a new DIY project that would utilize two P7's. I can use just about any battery config, but would prefer a buck circuit to accomodate a 3s or 4s 18650 pack. I'd also like to be able to drive both P7's at 2.8a and a low and/or medium output would be nice.

Circuit should be 2.8a at Vf < 8v = <22w (please correct me if I'm off here)

I have seen this circuit, but it doesn't allow the buck voltage:

So there's my wish list. Does any such board exist ?

thanks

You could use a Shark Buck with Remora or a hipCC with d2Flex.

Hi - I know this sounds like a strange question, but it is related - would you be using a reflector larger than 20mm dia ?

Good idea, I didn't realize the Shark Buck came in a 3a config. That could be my answer.

not a strange question at all. My current plan has me using 1" square Al tubing which is 21.6mm ID, meaning the optics would also be constrained to that size. That is not in stone yet and the driver may sway the decision.

Hi - so each LED + optic / reflector would fit in each tube ? The would sort of be side x side ? (my favorite config )

yes, that is the current plan, and I'll have room for the driver and it's own heatsink behind the LED's, even room for a pot if applicable.

So it looks like the hipCC is too big at 1.1" diameter. Shark Buck squeezes in at 0.75".

Yep, the shark buck fits, and allows the use of an external pot for dimming too :twothumbs

I don't need all the fancy programming as long as dimming is there, so it's a perfect fit.
