Does anyone keep the original packaging box of the light?

I want to throw out the box since they take up space in the apartment. I have lots of other boxes unrelated to flashlights.

should I throw out the original packaging box?

I keep the packaging of my higher end lights like my various Surefires. They are kept pretty mint, and having the packaging and paperwork will increase the resale value a bit.

For the cheaper lights, no.

I keep the box so I have a handy and easy to remember place to store any accessories that came with the light. I even have the box and all the goodies for the L1P I bought many moons ago, even though I lost that light. Plus it's an interesting way to keep track of all the lights you purchase over the years

I keep the boxes too. Not just for the lights, I also keep the boxes for my knives, multi tools etc. Makes for a lot of boxes sitting around.

OP, you should clarify "packaging". Personally, I keep the item's box for basically everything I own, but I do not keep the brown box that the seller/store ships the item in.

I would suggest you keep the item's box and manuals, etc--as for the brown box that's used to protect the item in shipping, reuse, recycle, re-ship-stuff, or re...dispose

:)

Guilty! I just don't have the heart to throw em out, too much of a packrat like me mum.

After a couple days, when I realize I like the light, it goes in the trash. some of the nice boxes, ie Liteflux with their wooden box, I keep. Cardboard hits the recycle bin as soon as I'm happy with the light, or else the light goes back to the store.

I keep the boxes in the event I need to store the lights or to sell them. I also store the accessories and spare parts in the original boxes as well so that I know what stuff for which lights. They take up space, but not as much as my other junks.

I keep all my boxes so far. But then again I don't have that many lights yet.
After some time i always find a use for all boxes, to use them as packaging, storage etc.
If they get too crowded, it enters the recycling box.

Yes, all the boxes are packed away in labeled bins, organized alphabetically. :help: Larger ones I do break down and store flat. Lights, chargers, knives, watches, cameras ... er, yea, there's a lot of boxes.

:twothumbsme too

I now always keep my boxes, I used to have a draw that I dropped all the lights accessories into, this was a pain in the backside sorting through them when I needed spares for a light, or I was selling / giving one away, so now I keep the boxes and have a place for each individual lights accessories. :twothumbs

I don't keep the boxes. Once I get me lights, I throw whatever boxes I have. That goes for everything else I buy. LCD tvs, monitors, etc. Takes up space!

I keep everything in the cabinet under one of my aquaria. When I fill the cabinet I'll start thinking of dumping the packaging envelopes and bubble wrap but I'll keep the boxes.

I keep a TV box for about a year.

Washer/Dryer boxes go immediately.

My water heater just sprung a leak and the old water heater will go in the box the new one comes in. I hope the guys can come Monday to replace it. COld showers....brrr

I keep my boxes for cameras, mobile phones and flash lights stacked up under my desk, although i'm starting to run out of space...not sure what i should do with em either :S

Sure I keep the boxes, even the shipping envelopes, especially the ones from AW with all of the pretty stamps. I particularly prize the HDP container that my Ra 120E came in. :D

Yes I keep nearly all the boxes. When I am dead and gone they will serve as evidence to my family that I was a nut.:duh2:
