What was the very first original LED flashlight? I've tried doing a search here but could not find an answer. If the answer is obvious, I apologize for asking, but this has been bothering me for sometime now. I remember buying a "Photon I" back about 1996 and recall reading about someone who mounted an LED on a semi-spent 9V at roughly the same time. What I am looking for is the first production LED light.

I'm sure it would have to be those pen lights the doctor loves to blind you with! I remember seeing those as far back as... well... pretty far back...

I think the first readily available White LED flashlight may have been the Photon I. Although CC Crane started carrying those 3AA Trek lights shortly afterwards.

I had a red LED button cell keychain type back about the late '80's. It was very dim. I'll bet Craig knows which was the first
