I am seriously considering the purchase of the cutter dogstar2 M11 housing/ led kit. But due to my inexpirience with building and assembling a custom light I have a few questions.
This light will be used for mine exploration and caving. Lighting up a whole room doesn't appaeal to me, I'm mainly looking for line of sight and throw. My options are quad 4 XRE's or quad 4 XPG's with a narrow or medium optic. There are 2 lights in this kit. I'm leaning right now with all my research on here and other sites towards the XRE's and narrow optic to get as much throw as possible. I know the xpg's seem to produce more lumens, but the throw isn't there unless that has changed. I'm also going to to need a rechargable battery and I'm not even sure where to start.
Any opinions or info are greatly appreciated. I'm looking to spend in the 3-4 hundred dollar range for everything
