Dorcy 3AAA Mod (RED?)

I dug an old dorcy flashlight, like the silver one here, out of my flight bag recently and would like to make a project out of it. I already decided to make it run on 1 18650, which is pretty simple, but I would really like to replace the weak white emitter with a good red one (To save my night sight when flying), any suggestions on the matter?



I'd love to hear your thoughts one the matter.
