I need to drive a single 5mm white LED with two rechargeable AAs.
I've looked around, but all I can find are drivers for high intensity emitters (Luxeon, Cree, the like)... and they tend to be on the expensive side.
All I really need is a boost circuit that can convert 2.4v to the 3.3v at about 30-40ma that the LED wants.
Price is an issue, so the cheaper the better. I don't want to spend $15 for the driver to run a $4 flashlight.
I might be ok with building a driver out of parts if it'll make it cheaper, but nothing too complicated as I'm not exactly an electronics engineer.
Thanks
