Drop Forged Hunter ......... Made by ? Cold Steel .. maybe !

A very neutral feeling knife in the hand , at least it does not hurt to use .
Some sort of black coating that peels off ... I ground the spine so it would scrape wood ( and it does it well ) . But the coating is peeling with use .
Sharp out of the box .. Edge deformed rolled around 200 slices ( factory ) and did a hard fail at 300 slices .
Strop back on wood was ... strong ! ( So id say the edge rolled )

Wet Stone Grinder knife sharpener ... That factory edge was rubbish .. Re sharpened & it's way sharp .

Bushcrafty ! Yeah , I ground the spine . It scrapes wood real nice and with the ferro rod is very directional . Gumtree scrapings lit with the first strike . And the knife really likes to cut thru wood , very slice 'y on wood .

All Steel .. Yeah that can be an issue in really cold conditions .. Humans having all that moisture , in really cold conditions .. That Cold Steel could be stuck to you !
( Pun ) ... Apparently a lot of people do a paracord wrap .. Hmmm , no one has done a 3D printed insert ? ( Grips )
I like it .. Simple , effective , functional , and different in a good way . Important for me was the lack of pain and suffering when slicing rope ! ( A bonus ? )

Is there any question/recommendation asked, that I miss?
;)

Any cold steel knive gives me the same feeling,
same as the "products" made at the forged in fire Show (that runs on TV here suddenly):
--> too THICK!
Who wants to bring along those sharpened, heavy, pry bars when something that should cut! is needed?

Any other culture ever, relying on cutting Instruments, used thin blades.

Try thinner blades
;)

??????????? No , this cuts fine ... = Very Slice 'y ..
No way I would call it a thick blade ..
On the rope , one of the better slicers .
On wood , a very nice slicer .

To make it feel nicer , maybe some wood inlays ? Drill holes in through the grip ? & make it more like a regular knife .
But it's ok the way it is !
