Drop-in for Ultrafire C2 body?

Many months ago, I purchased an Ultrafire C2 flashlight body from DX (SKU 15946). At the time, I thought it was a P60 host, but that is not the case. Is there a standard sized drop in that will fit the UF C2 body? If not, can anyone recommend inexpensive drivers and emitters that are suitable? I have no experience modding lights beyond switching out drop-ins, so the more detail regarding what is necessary (w/r/t materials and procedures), the better. Thanks.

Tangentially, is anyone familiar with the requirements of various Boy Scouts badges? Specifically, would installation of a driver and emitter into this body partially or completely fulfill the requirements for any badges? My nephew is a Boy Scout, so if it would help him out with badges, I could buy the necessary parts and ship it to him. I'm fairly certain he could use the light more than I can; I have plenty already.

I have that light in gray typeIII.

Nope its not a P60 and I am not aware of any drop ins that work with it. Its not a design based around a "drop-in". Its actually better than a drop in. It has an aluminum pill that is directly screwed into the body. The thermal transfer of heat in this design is much better than that of a typical spring loaded drop in.

The only way to use this is to build it up... solder the LED, and then the DC-DC board into the pill and assemble all the parts.

Thanks. Would I want to use an LED mounted on a star? What, exactly, do you mean by a DC-DC board (I get the DC in, DC out aspect of it)? Is that the driver?

Are there any particular SKUs that you would recommend for building this light? Ideally, I'd like it to run off 1x 18650 or 2x CR123A. The finished light, assuming I can make it work reliably, will most likely be given to my 12 year old nephew for hiking and camping trips, so battery life and neutral to warm tint are far more important than absolute brightness.

neutral warm tint....hmm these leds can be found from real shops and not Dx....

other than thta having built this lit 3 times and having some more hosts I to ask ....

did yours came with a black disc that fits around the LED....if yes then you need a 16mm board LED (Dx has them) else you can fit 18mm stars PCBs...

Drivers: Any 17mm driver will fit this but you got to watch for it to have up to 8.4-9 input voltage...

For a sigle mode Dx3256 is hily recommended...even if it is not an 1A output one it is reliable, and very efficient for its kind...else 26110

else, f multiodes are wished for (and suggested by me) drivers like the dx26108 are not bad
