Drop in LED for E Series? Please help a newbie

You *can* unscrew the E2D bezel and put it on other similar SF heads, but I do not know if it will fit the KL1 ... and ... the KL1 is HA-NAT, so you'll have a color mismatch.
There is no LED-dropin for the non-modified E-Series heads, you'll need to have your head modded or you need to buy an E-Series compatible Head that accepts LEDs.
There are a lot of E-Series compatible parts available, look at this thread for a list with pics:

This is a modded E-Series head that accepts Aleph Light Engines:
An older McLux-PR/T head on SF E1E
Modded SF L1 head (LED) on E1E with E2D tail:
E-Series compatible head (Aleph2) with titanium bezel:
The possibilities with the SF E-Series are almost endless.
