Just saw the latest episode and realised that Dwight(the most likely guy in the Office to have a flashlight on him) used a MagLED to check out a bat in the ceiling! I dont know why, but it was like a flashoholic moment for me, my friends couldnt care less. Does that mean that MagLEDs are getting common in the states?
Another fun thing I noticed today was that the rat in "Flushed down" used a LRI Photon (or clone), you wouldnt have seen that a couple of years ago.

I noticed that too (the Office one). Although I would have pegged Dwight for some higher-end light given that when he's into something, he's in all the way. That show is the funniest on television today! I can't get enough.

I get my kick always from the various "CSI" versions -- AKA "The Flashaholic Show" :). The only reason beside Emily Procter for me to watch "CSI Miami" is the L4 they use. And for "CSI NY" it's the A2 :).

Just waiting for when they will pull out the Kroma...

I noticed also. As soon as he pulled it out and I saw the beam I identified it.
The people I was watching it with thought it was pretty funny that I could tell what light it was.

Yep... I had to contain myself when I was watching it with my girlfriend... although I could feel her look over at me when he pulled out a flashlight. This is what it's come to. :)

The people I work with and me watch the office on Fridays during lunch in a conference room. I talk so much about lights that most in the room (around 7) could tell what it was. One guy I worked with bought the MagLED AA and could easily tell. Another guy now carries a Fenix P1D-CE on his belt and noticed. And another guy became a Fenix flashlight dealer and noticed too.

I jumped the gun and said it was a mag light but when he turned it on I said, "Wow he is using a MagLED light".

Until this post I did not realize how much I affected the people at work. I think almost everyone I work with (in my area) now has one light but most have multiple lights.

I think your local constabulary needs to keep an eye on you, or you should turn yourself in, as a potential cult leader :D

That's a big cross to bear!

Everytime a package arrives for me at the house, my wife asks what kind of flashlight it is. I think I'll tell her the one that came today is just another cheap TL-2, since the Strion looks pretty similar to a TL-2 in size (I only paid $30 for my TL-2.)
