E2D and AW 17670

it might..... it might not

if it doesnt, get the AW 14670 and put some electrical tape over the battery to keep it from rattling inside the battery tube

then again, it wont light up the stock e2d bulb thats currently in there
if you go for lumensfactory, you'll have to pick a 3.7v bulb (which pretty much limits the output) ... also factor in 2.2A max discharge rate for the 14670 cell

.

yeah...some do some don't, regardless of serial numbers....its like as if whether it will fit or not depends on the varying value of surefires boring tolerances:ironic:

get the LF EO-E2R (to run on 2x AW protected R123's) and you'll be safe

.

+1 That is a really nice setup, in fact, my favorite in this light. I still use the EO-E1R for the extended runtime, but I had so slightly bore the inside of my E2E to get a 17670 to fit.

I've got some 17670's that fit fine in a SF L4 and some that won't. There tends to be a lot of batteries 'out of spec' when it comes to the real size and if your light tube is tight than it is only going to work with some of them. Ask around on the brands or read the info by users (like on DX) as to what is and isn't too big.
