Has anyone ever seen this? It is on sale at ebay, but apparantly no name brand. Here are the listed specs also.

I'm new to the HID game, so I'll let the more experineced flashers educate me on whether or not this might be a good light.

Thanks,

Yes Dr.K

That's the AE 24 Power light. It's a proven performer among HID enthusiasts. I have the 24/S which is the shorter version.

Here is the one that you have pictured

Here is the newer style by the same manufacturer

Note that I'm not saying that the one on Ebay is a genuine AE. But the light pictured is an AE or an exact replica of it... buyer beware.
If you're considering one, I recommend purchasing from a reputable dealer associated with the forums here. Another option is to purchase one used from a CPF member.

I rolled the dice. The ebay seller only sells HID stuff, and had good feedback. In the description there was a direct comparison to the AE 24 light, and it was stated that they are produced at the same place in china. For the money savings (only paid 179.99 total) It will hopefully be worth it.

I'll post the results.

oao,

Kyle,

That is the generic ProLumens 24w HID light. Not as good as the AE but better than the Brightstar.

Well, I cranked this puppy up tonight. I am very impressed. Again, there is no reference point for me as I have never seen an HID flashlight before, but I can tell you that it shines on things so far away, unless it is a tree sized object, I wouldn't be able to discern it with my eyes anyway. I really don't think that paying twice as much could have got me twice as much light. However, I've been wrong before.
