Hi guys,

It is my hope and intent of supporting an open or standing wave of titanium Haikus. By this I hope to be able to keep ahead of the demand and be able to continue to supply these lights as they are requested. I have no idea how successful I will be but only time will tell.

I am offering both the

"stock" Haiku
for $445 plus shipping*

and the

Bead Blasted version with diamond etched clip
for $470 plus shipping*

I do want to state that my hope and intent is to process the e-mail orders for these on a first received/ first processed basis and ideally the response to your e-mail order will be a notification of shipment. I don't want to add to the number of communications by sending an acknowledgment prior to generating the postage notification.

These lights are available on first come first serve basis; as determined by e-mail orders I receive which are clear, concise and include the must have information:

In the subject line of the E-mail please state: Haiku or BB Haiku
Your CPF name
(if you have one)
Your real name and mailing address
phone number if international shipment
Any exceptions to standard shipping, which is priority mail.
If the shipment is domestic and you want insurance, please so state. (No insurance offered on international shipments)*

For my general info on how I process these offerings, please refer to THIS THREAD. For more information on the Haiku, please review THIS THREAD.

All of these lights sport some tool marks and various cosmetic singularities. Some may be obvious and some you may need to look closely for.

If you receive one of these lights and decide that it does not meet your expectation then you can either lower your expectations or simply send the light back for a full refund. I won't offer an exchange for probably obvious reasons. (please don't abuse this offer)

Like all of my Ti lights, the Haiku is designed to be sealed from the environment and external pressure but I make no claim or suggestion that it is a dive or underwater light.

Thanks guys!

* shipping is via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation or Global Priority mail. If you wish shipping via an alternative method, or signature confirmation or insurance on domestic shipments only, please specify in your e-mail order.

Wow, you're making the leap into regular production? Cool!

On a minor note, do you know if there is a glow-in-the-dark version of the silicone boot used on your Clicky Paks? I had some spare GITD boots from when I put them on my Fenix lights, and I tried one on my Mule, and it worked well but it was the wrong size.

The silicone boot I use is made from a mold that I paid to have manufactured. I have only had the black silicone boots produced. There may well be another source for a boot that might work but as to how effective a seal and function, no idea.

How many glow boots would you need pre-orders for, to make it practical to order a batch of them made in the correct mold? I can't find anything that fits just right.

I ordered 5000 of the black ones. Probably a similar number would work with a glow version if my source even has access to an acceptable material. I should caution though that unless you want to take on the administration of such a buy, it isn't going to be me!! :green:

And no, I am not "leaping" into regular production here. I am just going to try to keep these available and remove the pressure from myself as well as anyone feeling rushed into a decision of purchase based on limited availability or need to act quickly. I realize this works against a "feeding frenzy" approach to marketing but I am not hot on exploiting such a situation and would rather avoid it if possible. These will never be available in large or "production" quantities because I assemble each and every one of them, among other things...

Would it be unreasonable to try to limit this thread to the offering at hand and not get into other areas or items not being offered, such as GITD boots? :nana:

Those Bead Blasted Haikus are terrific, real pieces of art!

I'm very glad to see them coming again...

More of such artistic lights please!!!

I sent my e-mail yesterday evening and I didn't get a reply until now...

No problem, my wallet has time, if my guess is right that this time the lights are not waiting in an assembled state for us, but are manufactured as demand is coming in.

Don't get me wrong please, I just wanna know if everything's OK, for my first two lights a got a reply within minutes...

Glitch at my end. My plan was to pull and pack all of the lights last night along with sending postage notification. As luck would have it, the postage site I use was down for routine maintenance. I had breakfast guests show up early this AM before my eyes were open enough to get moving on this. I will be on it momentarily.....

blitzlicht,

These Haiku are host to Cree XR-R Q5 WG LED's

This is exciting news! I've been hoping these would come back around... I'll be putting in an order soon :)

I've had good luck with the 14mm green GITD boots from dealextreme. They have an extension down the inside for shorter switches that needs to be cut off to fit the McClicky. The brim is a fairly good match for the older McClicky boots. The newer McClicky boots have a wider brim and use one less o-ring, so replacing one requires a GITD boot and an additionaly o-ring (simulating the old-style boot assembly). Hope that helps.
