I see a lot of folks are buying DX goodies. Is there a list of favorite models somewhere?

Anyone planning on buying the Jet I pro? The stats look like it will be an incredible machine -- max 210 lumens for 1 hour on a single AA! Anyone know of any pre-release reviews on this monster??

Ultrafire C3 make take a little tweaking, i.e. adding wire/foil loops in head/tail to get solid electrical contacts. Once tweaked, it (the single level) provides excellent regulation, battery efficiency, output, and very good reliability. Nice and compact too.

Romisen G2 has very good build qualilty at a dirt cheap price. Forward clickie for those who care. Battery efficiency isn't as good as C3 but it has more throw, and it's a very good deal at less than $11.

Try this thread here. I think you'll find what you are looking for.

Excellent. Thanks!

They're obviously not flashlights, but your title just said "...goodies and other stuff" :)

Lol. I know how that "other stuff" goes. :) I just ordered a Romisen MXDL RC-G2, 30mW Romisen L-B030 Green Laser, some batteries and a charger. Jus' couldn't leave the darn "add to cart" button alone. :)

On the downside, I really thought the Jet I Pro would be perfect with an orange peel reflector. My friend wrote to bugoutgearusa.com but they said they were not gonna offer it at this time. Bummer. Anyone else making an Cree r series AA light, 200+ lux and an orange peel reflector??

My favorite, by far, DX product is #1343 Cree D26 module. Perfectly regulated for nearly 3 hours on a 17670 cell, ~80 lumens out the front, and fits in a Maxfire, making a "poor-mans G2."
