Feeling blue.. ish...purple (WN). Help me get WH. R2 WH that is !! new D10 emitter ?

First let me say that I love my D10.
It is a fine light and I am quite happy.
I just happen to need better color rendition than WC (and slightly off at that) can offer.

OK so if you've seen the " Terrible tint on EX10" thread, or if your D10/EX10 is somewhere outside WC then you already know what I'm talking about.

I spend lots of time outdoors and let's be honest people.... violet light color rendition sucks.

The light is pretty close to WC at full power but anywhere under there it's WN all the way to (I swear) WK on low.

As a matter of fact, I did some WWH last night with some other lights and it's only slightly whiter than my 3yo's light.

Is there some source other than Cutter ($25 is TOO MUCH) for a R2 WH?

Does anyone have one?

Furthermore, I don't want to void my new D10 warranty with and emitter swap.

ok well I contacted darkzero at another members suggestion and he says only WG, no WH in R2

might have to be happy with that

anyone get the head apart on a D10 yet?

There is a short thread on it here somewhere. It seems you have to carefully hook the "splitring" on the LE and lift one side up and then gently unscrew it or something to that effect. then there should be a cpl "notches" underneath that for extracting the actual LE. I havnt tried it myself but am thinking of it. I think something like a curved dental pick worked for someoone out there.
