Hi, firstly excuse my english cause i'm french.

I got my old Fenix L2D premium Q5 olive, still working, realy love it, great flashlight !

I'm going to buy the Fenix E12 as a pocket flashlight.

I've seen that now, it is "ansi lumens".

In low mod : Old L2D : 12 lumens, and E12 : 8 ANSI lumens.

Will the low mods be the same ? or 8 ansi more powerfull than old 12 lumens ?

I hope you understand my question ("lumens" vs "ANSI LUMENS"

Thanks.

no, no

both are ansi

however, your eyes will adjust to either 8 or 12
and you can just move 8 closer, to make it as bright on target as 12 farther away

8 will make the battery last longer, think of it as a good thing :)

also
though 12 is 50% brighter than 8, it is only a small visible change, because our vision is not on linear brightness scale

enjoy your new light
I hope you share your impressions

If you can see the difference between 8 and 12 lumens out of basically the same type of reflector you're eyes are a lot better then mine😀

Hi tx725,

Basically, the outputs are almost the same to our eyes, and all the specifications of Fenix lights are from ANSI standards. 8 lumens makes the light last a little longer. Hope that helps, enjoy your day!
