Hi,

my Fenix L2T only throws out the high beam , i can't switch between high or low output anymore by turning the head. The head doesn't have to be in the tightest position, the LED just always throws out the high beam, also in the position where it normally would throw out the low beam.

any idea?

thanks

Have you lubed the threads? If you over lube the threads you will still make contact for 'High'. Just a thought.

I didn't. Does tis low/high thing work like that.
If it's tightened loose the cute little electrons run over the lube and if it's tightened strong they go "directly" over the plate in the head?

IIRC, when the head is tight the rim of the body is making contact with the head providing high. When it it loose the connection is made through the threads only providing the low. Clean the threads and the positive contacts and see if that helps.

Hm, i cleaned all up but there is no change. I THINK that it always runs on high, which make me wonder why. I mean even when it's loose the beam is high but there is no contact between the head and the rim.

Fully charged 2600 NiMH AAs.
 nevermind then...

Have you done a "bounce" test with it? From the L1T's I've owned, the difference between high and low is not all that dramatic as one would expect.

Hm, sorry but i am not a native speaker and don't know what you mean with "bounce test". I remember the difference between high and low to be "significant". My guess is, that something in the head is damaged and consequently there is a shortcut from the threads to the powerinput for the "high-mode", of course i am not shure whether this is actually possible.
